OGILVIE THURLOW, Philip

Firm associate partner Romero Villegas for a decade.

Born in the UK, educated at Ampleforth College, York. He studied Audit practice being admitted to the Institute of Chartered Accountants in 1974 after working with the prestigious firm of Binder Hamlyn in the City of London, co-founder of BDO. Posted to Madrid in 1974, he founded the first Spanish office of BDO, where he was Partner-in-Charge until 1982, after which he joined the new management team of Barclays Bank SA, newly established in Spain. During that time he was also Chairman of the British Chamber of Commerce in Spain, until 1986.

Since 1989 he lives in Sotogrande, having worked with real estate companies as Inmobiliaria Espacio (1989-1993) and the Bland Group in Gibraltar. He has practiced as an auditor from 1974 to 1982 and from 1997 to date.
