José Ignacio Juárez Chicote has a BA in Law from Universidad Complutense de Madrid. He has done doctoral studies and a specialized course of Law of Telecommunications and Information Technology. He began to practice law in 1991 in the Office of Fernando Garrido Falla, Professor of Administrative Law and, later, Judge of the Constitutional Court. he joined In 1994, LOPEZ RODO LAWYERS in 1994.

In his years of professional experience, his work has centered on several areas of public law, especially administrative contracting-field where he has advised many government and enterprises that are awarded public works and services, expropriation, administrative law and public servants penalties . He has advised public agencies on issues relating to its organization, legal and institutional framework and service delivery. In the forensic field has litigated at all levels of courts and the Constitutional Court and European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, obtaining, in some cases, cases which have involved the modification of the previous doctrine of the courts. He has also worked continuously with several companies and educational institutions and the telecommunications and audiovisual sectors

He is a referee of the Court of Arbitration, Bar Association of Madrid, specialising in administrative law.

Since 1997 Professor of Administrative Law Villanueva University Centre, affiliated with the University Complutense of Madrid and, previously, was at the University Antonio de Nebrija. Participates regularly in training courses and specialized seminars. He is co-author of “Manual of Administrative Law” (Ed. COLEX, Madrid, 1997) and publishes regularly opinions and commentaries in different national newspapers.
